Repertoire Classes
-26 Classes for various composers and repertoire
-No age limits
-Prizes for each class:
90 / 100 points and above: Gold Prize
85 / 100 points and above: Silver Prize
80 / 100 points and above: Bronze Prize
-Participants will be judged and awarded points based on their age at the time of application
-There is no limit to the number of each prize
-All participants will receive a Diploma commemorating their participation in the festival.
-Prize winners will receive a Prize Diploma

Junior Performance Class A
-Age 5 and under (Born on or after 1 April 2019)
-Free repertoire, maximum 3 minutes

Junior Performance Class B
-Age 6 to 7 (Born between 1 April 2017 and 30 March 2019)
-Free repertoire, maximum 5 minutes

-Age 8 to 9 (Born between 1 April 2015 and 30 March 2017)

Pianists are welcome to apply to multiple classes.
All repertoire classes have no specified time limit.
Pianists who apply to 3 or more classes will be eligible for a special achievement prize.
Teachers who have 10 or more students participating in the Festival will receive an Outstanding Teacher’s Award.

-Any chamber music piece, or movement of a piece with a piano part, by any composer. All combinations are permitted (e.g. piano and voice, piano and violin, piano and cello, piano trio, piano quartet, piano quintet etc.). In the recording, all players should be present. Only the pianist in the group needs to register on the application for the Northern Lights Piano Festival.
