Teacher Awards:
We would also like to recognize the work and commitment of piano pedagogues in this festival. Teachers play a most important role in the development of students’ music making, and carrying on the traditions of Classical Music. We have three categories of awards to recognize our teachers and musical institutions:
Teacher Commitment Award recognizes educators who exhibit remarkable dedication to pedagogy by fostering student motivation through the submission of over 10 applications, regardless of the number of students represented.
Teacher Achievement Award: teachers who demonstrate pedagogical excellence through a cumulative student prize count of 3 or more gold awards (e.g. one student can win 3 golds in 3 separate categories, or 3 students can win 1 gold each)
Arts Community Award: institutions, organizations, and/or local music schools who demonstrate tremendous commitment to the improvement and motivation of their community by involving 25 or more students.
Nordic Piano Master Award honors educators from Nordic countries who have significantly elevated the standard of Nordic piano performance and enriched the festival with exceptional Nordic piano students (on discretion of the jury).
Teacher honorary mention, to educators whose multiple students have excelled in the festival (on discretion of the jury).
